Jimmy is a kidney transplant recipient who was given a second chance at life. His transplant opened a door he thought had closed. Today he's healthy, grateful, and ready to ride 1,900 miles across the country to help others find their own second chance.
Why this ride? Every day, thousands of people wait on the national transplant list, hoping for a call that will change their lives. Jimmy is riding to celebrate the gift he received and to call others to action. From the shores of Puget Sound to the heart of Minnesota, every mile represents gratitude — and every donation represents hope for someone waiting.
The journey. Departing Anacortes, Washington in summer 2027, Jimmy will follow the Adventure Cycling Association's Northern Tier route through five states, finishing at Lake Itasca — the source of the Mississippi River — before riding into St. Paul. His wife Mary will drive support, capturing the story as it unfolds.
